Why it matters
Most groups live on borrowed ground.
The places we gather online belong to someone else. The rules change without asking, the record belongs to whoever owns the servers, and when the platform loses interest, your history goes with it.
A Village is a place that is properly yours — for your people, run by your rules, with the record kept where you can check it yourself. Nobody reads over your shoulder, and nothing your members share is turned into someone else's product.
And because Villages can join up with one another without being swallowed, a small group doesn't have to stay alone to stay itself. A marae committee, a family, a club, a co-op — each keeps its own ground and still works with the others.

Village Whānau
A digital home for whānau, hapū, and iwi — pūrākau, whakapapa, tikanga, organising hui, in te reo Māori and English. Built so the whānau keeps control of its own information and taonga, in line with tikanga.
Sports and hobby clubs — cricket, rugby, sailing, cycling, chess, and the rest. Fixture lists, training times, subs tracking, gear booking, AGM voting, and an archive of past seasons.
Tidy coordination for a committee without the heavy machinery — agendas, task tracking, correspondence, and a money register. Start simple and turn on the rest as the committee grows.
For Anglican and Episcopal congregations — vestry business, parish notices, pastoral care, the church calendar, and ministry rosters. A locally-hosted alternative to the usual church software.

A citizens' assembly built for organisations to run: put a real question to your members and rehearse the argument first. Dissent is kept word-for-word, never averaged into a score; the record carries a cryptographic seal and is yours to check. The software rehearses — your people decide.
The other half of the staff survey: a survey rates management's questions; Open Floor lets your people raise their own — ideas in their own words, built on and argued out, then drawn together without averaging, so a sharp minority idea survives whole.

Many rooms, one question — every room's answer drawn into a single map that keeps each minority position whole and attributed, and never averages dissent into a score. For federations running the same question across many Villages.

The relationship, document, and record layer for a mortgage lender — sitting alongside the loan system, not replacing it. A borrower pipeline, a document portal, e-signatures, and a record where every enquiry and decision is locked in so any later change shows up.
Careful, rule-based candidate screening — a rulebook you can edit with a fixed fairness check built in, a guided assessment, a clear record of decisions, and a person making the call. A CV stays on our own systems, and is never sold on or handed to outside AI.
